The flange type series is a soft seated butterfly valve engineered for industrial and water-work performance in most of fields. It is the flexible design of a fully flanged body, with a rubber seated ensures pressure stability and long-term shut-off, simple and easy to install and maintain due to their smaller body structure.
With a temperature range of -29°C to 120°C and compatibility with Buna-N and EPDM elastomers, stainless steel or nylon-coated discs, the wafer design is trusted in water HVAC, desalination, steam, sour gas, and vacuum services. Features & Benefits
1. Stem Circlip & Retaining Ring Assembly
The anti-backlash assembly is secured inside the valve body by an internal circlip, consisting of a thrust washer and a stem circlip. It can be disassembled with professional tools and prevents accidental pull-out of the stem.
2. Stem & 3. Stem Extension
Precision hexagonal stem connects to and drives the disc without screws or pins.
The extended valve body neck meets 50mm pipeline insulation requirements and provides adequate space for actuator mounting.
4. Stem Bearing & 5. Stem Seal
Corrosion-resistant PTFE or bronze stem bushing absorbs lateral thrust under heavy loads.
Self-adjusting V-ring packing combined with O-ring seal provides bidirectional absolute sealing, preventing foreign materials from entering the stem cavity.
6. Spherical Disc Seal Surface
The cast disc, with spherical machining and hand polishing, provides bidirectional bubble-tight emergency shutoff, minimizing operating torque and extending the service life of the seat.
7. Primary & Secondary Seal
These seals completely isolate the fluid medium from the valve body and stem. The primary seal is achieved by preloaded contact between the machined and hand-polished disc shoulder and the valve seat; the secondary seal is obtained via an interference fit between the stem and the seat bore.
8. Seat
The tongue-and-groove seat design fully isolates the valve body from the pipeline medium with lower operating torque. The seat features an integrally molded O-ring, eliminating the need for additional flange gaskets during installation.
